When a stranger joins the regular poker game at Stephen’s restaurant the stakes are high and winning has its price. An explosive and hilarious evening unfolds as father and son are pitted against each other and friendships are tested to breaking point.

Co-starring the quite marvellous Sam Barnett.

Los Angeles 2003-2006

An exhibition of new photographs by the renowned American photographer and filmmaker Larry Clark.

Los Angeles 2003-2006 reflects the artist's life-long interest in the subject of today's youth within a marginalized urban environment. In this particular body of work, we witness the physical transformation of Jonathan Velasquez throughout the period of his adolescent years. Jonathan, a teenager living in South Central Los Angeles whom the artist encountered by chance, inspired Clark to write and direct the film Wassup Rockers. In this obsessive four year photographic chronicle of Jonathan's life, we experience not so much the unfolding of a series of portraits but rather the weaving of the subject's personal life within the context of a particular social milieu common to so many of today's urban youth subcultures.

Teenage Angst

Two short, sharp and provocative plays at the National Theatre

Chatroom a new play by Enda Walsh
In cyberspace six 15-year-olds type and chat. A chilling and powerful tale of manipulation and the ultimate act of teenage rebellion.

Citizenship a new play by Mark Ravenhill
A bittersweet comedy about growing up, following a boy's frank and messy search to discover his sexual identity.

If it's not one thing, it's your mother

English language adaptation of the Pedro Almodovar movie All About My Mother at The Old Vic - A single mother in Madrid sees her only son die on his 17th birthday as he runs to seek an actress's autograph. She goes to Barcelona to find the boy's father, a transvestite named Lola who does not know he has a child. First she finds her friend, Agrado, also a transvestite; through him she meets Rosa, a young nun bound for El Salvador, and by happenstance, becomes the personal assistant of Huma Rojo, the actress her son admired. She helps Huma manage Nina, the co-star and Huma's lover, and she becomes Rosa's caretaker during a dicey pregnancy.

Elling

Mummy's boy Elling (Simm) and his roommate, the uncouth reluctant virgin Kjell Bjarne (Bower) are the Odd Couple of Oslo: a pair of confused souls taking their first steps in the outside world after years of an isolated and institutional life. Given a flat in the city by social services, their mission is to re-assimilate themselves into society - it's either that or a return to the asylum. All they have to do is convince their social worker that they really are 'normal', even if it does feel safer sleeping in a wardrobe...Performance at Trafalger Studios

Station X

An original (tiny) piece of Colossus, the world's first semi-programmable electronic computer used for code breaking during WWII. The success of the code breakers was one of the key factors in the allied victory. Many historians believe that it shortened the war by up to 2 years, saving thousands of lives.

Vernon God Little

Expecto Patronum

Alan Strang (Daniel Radcliffe) seems a normal, obedient 17-year old with a passion for horses. Then one night he blinds six horses with a hoof pick. What drove him to it? His life seems routine, his family loving, his pursuits harmless and yet he has been placed under psychiatric surveillance - an unresponsive patient who is woken each night by terrible nightmares. Only psychiatrist Martin Dysart (Richard Griffiths) seems able to grasp the answer to this psychological puzzle.

The Lion Sleeps Tonight

The main hall of the British Museum. Our friend above is from the Hellenistic period, probably late 4th-early 3rd century BC.

Underneath The Lintel

An ancient myth is unlocked when a small town librarian embarks on a quest to find out who anonymously returned a book, 113 years overdue. A clue scribbled in the margin and an unclaimed dry-cleaning ticket takes us on a magical adventure that spans the globe and the ages.

Notice to all.

Should we all have signs like this on our doors?

The Dumb Waiter

In an airless basement room, two killers await confirmation of the identity of their next 'hit'. They're a team from way back. Today something has disturbed their normally efficient routine. Unseen forces bear down on them in their precarious and darkly funny world. Meanwhile, increasingly bizarre orders keep arriving via a serving hatch.

Fly me to the moon.

Well, London will do.
